Individual Tests
Potency
Cannabinoids are naturally produced compounds that interact with the endocannabinoid signaling system. Accurate cannabinoid potency labeling is required by ADHS and leads to customer trust and loyalty
FSL provides quantitative determination of 11 cannabinoids via HPLC-DAD: CBD*, CBDV, CBDA*, CBGA, CBG, CBN, CBC, THC-A*, THC-V, D8-THC, D9-THC*,
*ADHS required
Aspergillus
Aspergillus is a common mold that may have health implications in living organisms. Testing for Aspergillus is required for inhalable cannabis and cannabis products.
FSL uses qPCR for presence/absence determination and speciation (A. flavus, A. fumigatus, A. niger, A. terreus)
Salmonella
Salmonella is a common foodborne bacteria transmitted via human and animal fecal matter. Testing for salmonella is required for all cannabis and cannabis products.
FSL uses qPCR for presence/absence determination.
E. Coli
E. coli is a common foodborne bacteria transmitted via human and animal fecal matter. Testing for E. coli is required for all cannabis and cannabis products.
FSL quantifies E. coli via 3M Petrifilm ™.
Mycotoxins
Mycotoxins are naturally occurring toxins produced by some molds. Testing for mycotoxins is required for cannabis products, except for topicals.
FSL provides quantitative determination of Aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, and G2) and Ochratoxin A via LC/MS/MS]
Pesticides
Pesticides are compounds used to manage insects and other pests in plant production. Chronic exposure to and low doses of pesticides pose health risks. Testing for pesticides is required in all cannabis and cannabis products.
FSL provides quantitative determination of the ADHS regulated list of pesticides via LC/MS/MS.
Residual Solvents
Residual solvents are volatile organic compounds that may be left over in cannabis products following the extraction and manufacturing process.
ADHS requires all cannabis products be tested for 28 residual solvents commonly used in cannabinoid extraction.
FSL provides quantitative determination of residual solvents via GC/MS.
Terpenes
Terpenes are volatile compounds plants produce to communicate with their environment. Different combinations and ratios of terpenes lend cannabis strains their unique smell and flavor profiles. Testing for terpenes is for RUO and not required by ADHS.
FSL provides quantitative determination of 39 terpenes commonly produced by cannabis via GC/MS.
Heavy Metals
Heavy metals pose serious health risks. Because cannabis and hemp are efficient bioaccumulators of heavy metals ADHS requires all cannabis and cannabis products be tested for arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury.
FSL provides quantitative determination of required heavy metals via ICP-MS.
